Uses:
Isophorone can be used in the following fields:
--Isophorone is widely used as a high-boiling point solvent in the paint and varnish industry, especially for PVDF resin. It can also be used as a leveling agent for acrylic resin, alkyd resin, epoxy resin and phenolic resin
--Isophorone is an important chemical raw material that can be used to synthesize IPDA (isophorone diamine), IPDI (isophorone diisocyanate) and 3,5-dimethylphenol
--Due to its excellent emulsification and stability, isophorone can also be used in herbicide and pesticide formulations
