Shellac wax, also called shell-lac wax, is a kind of secretion excreted by shellac insects and a precious wax. The main products of shellac are: piece shellac, color shellac, bleached shellac and shellac red pigment. The wax presents white or light yellow fibroid hard lumpy crystal and has the features of odorless, texture fragile, larger shrinkage ratio. It is the ideal substitute for carnauba wax and montan wax due to its higher melting point and stronger hardness.

Application：
(1) Foodstuff industry: to be used as coating and glazing agent of confection, barking product and fruit. Also can be used as the gel base of chewing gum;
(2) Cosmetic industry: to be used for making lipstick and eyebrow pencil;
(3) Other industry: to be used for making shoeshine, floor wax, carbon paper, and also can be used in electric industry;
