Uses

Chinese Rhus Wax is a fat extracted from the pericarp of the berries (the seeds of the Rhus suffruticosa tree). It has a high melting point and low acidity, is elastic and flexible, and boasts excellent gloss. It can be used as a fiber lubricant, softener, and raw material for high-end cosmetics. Hydrolysis of the wax yields glycerin, linoleic acid, palmitic acid, and stearic acid, all of which are important raw materials in the production of daily chemical products.
Rhus suffruticosa seed oil is a yellow, transparent liquid vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the Rhus suffruticosa tree. It is primarily composed of fatty acid glycerides, free fatty acids, and free alcohols, and is rich in 70% linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid that the human body cannot synthesize.
