Irganox® 1010 is a highly effective antioxidant offered by BASF. Here is the English introduction of this product:
Function and purpose: It is a highly effective, non-discoloring, sterically hindered primary phenolic antioxidant stabilizer that protects organic substrates against thermo-oxidative degradation.

Suggested applications: It is widely used in polyolefins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and polybutene, as well as in olefin copolymers such as ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers. It is also recommended for the processing of polymers such as polyacetals, polyamides, polyurethanes, polyesters, PVC, styrene homo- and co-polymers, ABS, elastomers (including butyl rubber, SBS, SEBS, EPM, and EPDM), adhesives, natural and synthetic tackifier resins, and other organic substrates.
Physical and chemical properties: The chemical name of Irganox® 1010 is pentaerythritol tetrakis(β-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate). It appears as a white to slightly yellow crystalline powder. The molecular weight is 1178. It has a melting point in the range of 110°C to 125°C, and the flash point is 297°C. The solubility in different solvents at 20°C is as follows: acetone (47%), benzene (56%), chloroform (71%), ethyl acetate (46%), hexane (0.3%), and methanol (1%).
