Product details
Tinuvin ® 123-DW ECO is a light stabilizer launched by BASF. The chemical composition is hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS). Suitable for solvent-free, high solids, and water-based coatings. It has the characteristics of increased hardness, good thermal stability, excellent scratch resistance, high glossiness, and good transparency. Widely used in the fields of construction, decoration, industrial coatings, etc., it can enhance the durability of coatings and prevent problems such as aging and fading of coatings due to ultraviolet radiation. There are two types of packaging: 200kg plastic drums and 20kg plastic cans.
Tinuvin ® 123-DW ECO is a light stabilizer product launched by BASF. The following is its related information:
Product Features:
Good stability: It has high thermal stability and can maintain good performance even in high temperature environments, effectively preventing performance changes of coatings and other products due to heat during processing and use.
Excellent scratch resistance: It can enhance the scratch resistance of coatings or coatings, making the product surface less prone to scratches during daily use or slight friction, and maintaining a good appearance.
High glossiness: It can increase the glossiness of the product, make the coating surface brighter and more beautiful, and enhance the visual effect of the product.
Anti adhesion: It can prevent adhesion between coatings or product surfaces, ensuring good independence and operability of the product during storage, transportation, and use.
Good transparency: It has little impact on the transparency of the product and is suitable for applications that require high transparency, such as transparent coatings, plastic films, etc.
Chemical properties: Belonging to hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), this is a highly efficient type of light stabilizer that works by capturing free radicals formed during photooxidation, effectively delaying the aging and degradation of materials caused by ultraviolet radiation.
Application areas:
Coatings industry: widely used in solvent based, high solid content, and water-based coatings, it can improve the weather resistance of coatings, prevent coatings from fading, powdering, cracking, and other problems when exposed to sunlight for a long time, especially suitable for architectural coatings, industrial coatings, and decorative coatings.
Plastic industry: used for the processing and modification of plastic materials, which can enhance the UV resistance of plastics and extend the service life of plastic products, such as in plastic films, plastic pipes, plastic sheets and other products.
Usage and dosage: Usually added to coatings or plastic systems in a certain proportion, the specific dosage may vary depending on different application scenarios and product requirements. It is generally recommended to add about 0.5% -2% of the resin solids in the coating.
In short, Tinuvin ® 123-DW ECO is an excellent light stabilizer that can provide good light stability protection for coatings, plastics, and other products, improving product quality and service life.
