1.Benzophenone is an ultraviolet absorber (absorbing ultraviolet wavelength 290-360 nm) and an intermediate of initiators, organic pigments, medicines, spices, and pesticides.
2.In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used for the production of bicycloethidium, benztropine hydrobromide, diphenhydramine salt, etc., and is also a styrene polymerization inhibitor and fragrance fixative, which can give spices a sweet breath and is used in many perfumes and soap flavors.
3.It can be used in the cosmetics industry for sunscreen oil/ointment.
